This City Edition jersey takes the team’s popular yellow, orange, red and black uniforms and reverses the color structure. The primary color of the uniform is now black, with the other colors accented throughout the design. It takes on this theme continues to represent how this team belongs to the entire state, as these Jazz uniforms remain the only ones with ‘Utah’ emblazoned across the chest.
This year’s edition honors three of the most iconic achievements in franchise history – the 1977 NBA Championship and the 1990 and 1992 Western Conference Championships as part of the league-wide “Moments Mixtape” campaign. Plaid pattern side panel as a tribute to DR.Jack, Gold trophy representing the team championship and NBA 75th Anniversary LOGO. Retro 90s style font and drop shadow on “RIPCITY” wordmark.
The grey and white on white color scheme honors some of the “most meaningful community connections and moments in the team’s tenure” while also celebrating the NBA’s 75th anniversary. the uniform’s “ice-white-diamond” color represents the NBA’s diamond anniversary. The jerseys also take inspiration from the navy alternative uniform from 2012 and the Statement Edition uniform of 2019. The vertical lettering of “OKC” is said to celebrate the 13-year anniversary of the team in Oklahoma City.
The inaugural blue, green, and white colorway returns. The front blue nods to the color of the original 1989-96 Timberwolves jersey and utilizes the guard hair element of the inaugural Nike NBA City Edition uniform of 2017-18 while using the navy of the current Icon uniform on the back. The iconic trees are back. Worn 1996-2000, an era that defined the franchise’s “Big Ticket” teams, the trees evoke an unmatched nostalgia among Wolves fans. The chest wordmark is a remix on the 2004 logo that connects the Wolves mark on the current Nike NBA Association jersey, along with the styled treatment of the Trees jersey.
